On Saturday, July 28, 2012 at 1300 hrs, Congressman Bobby Schilling of Illinois, and Congressman Leonard Boswell of Iowa, will present to the family of Captain
Ronald A. Ross who was KIA on 31 Oct 1969, the following awards and decorations for his service in the Republic of Vietnam: the Silver Star; the Bronze Star Medal; the Purple Heart Medal; the Army Good Conduct Medal; the National Defense Medal; the Vietnam Service Medal with
bronze service star; the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal Campaign with1960 device; and the Army Sharpshooter Badge with Rifle Bar.
A First Army – General officer will host the award ceremony. The ceremony will be held at Wilson Middle School located at 1301 48th Street, Moline, IL 61265. Please join us in honoring a fellow Vietnam Veteran, Captain Ronald A. Ross who paid the ultimate sacrifice in defense of his country in the RVN.
